Creamy Coleslaw
Ingredients:
1 large head cabbage (can also add red cabbage)
2 large carrots
1 green pepper (can be omitted)
1 large onion
1 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 teaspoons mustard seed
1 teaspoon celery seed
optional: cream or milk/sour cream
Directions:
Shred cabbage , carrots, pepper and onion (with grater or food processor). In seperate bowl, combine sugar, vinegar, mustard seed and celery seed. Pour over shredded ingredients. You can add cream at this point. If you don't have cream, I have also used about 1/4 cup of milk and about 4 oz of sour cream. Let coleslaw soak in dressing for about 12 hours in refrigerator before serving.
